wire frame glasses 2009/06/24 17:23 Karma: 0
Hi everyone! I just joined the site after learning that my 8 month old daughter, Emma, is farsighted +4.75. I can't believe I actually know what that means! Nobody in either my or my husbands family has eye trouble so this was all quite a shock. My question is after looking and going to several fittings for a pair a glasses for Emma, I am having a hard time finding a cute and comfortable pair of frames for her tiny little face! I really want wire frames, but am having a hard time find a small enough pair. I am going for another fitting tomorrow and am hopeful that one of the two new frames will fit. Any suggestions? I have looked online, but don't know how it would work to order a pair and what to do if they don't fit. Any help would be appreciated. I am just not comfortable buying a pair of glasses that don't look cute on her because I am determined to like them myself so I don't show any negative feelings about her wearing glasses.

My daughter's first pair of glasses were wire frames. Although cute, they were very impractical for us. With a young baby, they come off a lot, which meant they broke A LOT. We were having them fixed or adjusted once a week. She now wears a pair of ComoBaby frames, and also has a pair of the Solobambini. They are durable, comfortable, really cute, and easy to take care of. We love them. Your eyeglass store can order them for you for no extra cost, and will be able to tell you what size she needs. Good luck.
