hi im new to this site. my daughter was born with a cataract in her right eye, at 4 weeks old she had an operation to remove it, since then she has had to wear glasses, which are now a nightmare to keep on her, at 22 weeks old she needed another operation to clean out around the new artificial lens as cells were trying to regrow a new one causing her vision to be cloudy. after both operations she has been on several drops hourly.
she is now 6 months old and her vision is improving but may have to wear glasses forever.

WOW ~ 4 weeks old! My daughter got her glasses at 3 months old and I couldn't imagine anyone smaller than her having to wear glasses! My daughter is almost three now and really never bothered with her glasses much over the years but she too will always wear glasses...that's OK because they seem like part of her now. I totally agree about the glasses seeming like part of them. I cried when I was told my daughter needed them at 1 (seems silly now) but now her trademark pink glasses are such a part of her lol
