Hello! So sorry it has taken so long . . . I haven't been on for quite a while! Anyway, we have gotten Keaton's glasses and he is wearing them . . . it hasn't been as bad of a transition as I thought it would be. He actually wears them. Of course he pulls them off periodically, but for the most part, he keeps them on (knock on wood!). He seems to realize that he can actually see when he has them on! I will attach a pic of Keaton in them--we too are teething, so excuse the drool he will undoubtedly have on his face! Nothing like getting glasses and cutting your first 2 teeth all in the same week! Mommy is exhausted! People keep commenting on how cute he is with them and everything, so it does make me feel better.

Ok, Zac is PRECIOUS!!! He is sooo cute in his glasses!!! Is it hard for you to remember him too much without them? It just kinda seems natural now for Keaton to have glasses. The doctor says he may grow out of having to wear them at some point (maybe 11or 12 yrs), but maybe sooner since we noticed early, but maybe never--too early to tell.

Ok, well, I can't get my pic to go into this reply, so I will try again later . . . will keep you posted! You can go to facebook and find me there--I have posted the pics there--Jennifer Coots Scarbrough (my little girl's pic is my profile pic.) Talk soon!

Hi Jennifer! So happy to hear Keaton got his glasses and is wearing them! Yay! Where did you end up getting the glasses? I want to see a picture, I bet he looks adorable! I can relate to the exhaustion...I hope it gets better for you and you can get some rest soon. Isn't it funny how quickly we get used to seeing them in their glasses? When Zac does not have them on he just looks so different now. LOL

That is great that Keaton may not have to wear them forever! Our Dr said Zac most likely will need them his whole life. I guess it is not a huge deal, just a minor inconvenience.

I want to see Keatons picture! I will look for you on Facebook tonight or at lunch..I cannot access it from work for whatever reason. Keep me updated!

Talk to you soon

Hiya,
I just came across this site and your post, my little boy buddy is 18mths old he has a squint...is that what you call it in both eyes, but not at the same time sounds odd doesnt it?? well he has to wear glasses as hes walking yet partly due to not being able to see very well, he wont keep them on for more than 5secs i feel very bad and im trying to hunt down some kind of safety band to help keep them on as iv been told to try putting toilet rolls on his arms to stop him pulling them of!! that doesnt work and its cruel...i just wanted to say, buddy was a full term baby, healthy with no problems in anyway there is nothing you have wronge ...but i do know how you feel i felt like that to, when i first got buddys glasses i tried to look through them and cried i even phoned the people who made them and took them to be checked again ....but yes my baby really cant see much at all,

Hi Janny! Buddy is so adorable...he looks precious in his glasses!
I can relate to the walking. Zac would only walk holding on to things and would not take off on his own. Since he got his glasses he has been walking! I am sure Buddy will as well in no time. I know what you mean about the lenses too. I cannot see a thing out of Zac's! It was hard for me to believe as well. I am not sure what to do about him taking them off. I thought about getting the bands for Zac since occasionally he takes his off but I figure he will figure out how to take that off also more than likely..

I hope Buddy starts to get used to his glasses and relizes he can see with them on. Keep me posted, I will be thinking of you guys...

Hello,
My daughter Hannah is 8 months and has had glasses from dec last year, due to both eyes 'crossing over' bless her. I have given up with her glases at the moment as she pulls them off constantly. The first month went really well then all of a sudden she will not keep them on. I'm really mad at myself for not persevering but was wondering if anyones tried the head band that loops round the back of the head?. I live in England and am struggling to fing Kiddies head bands that arent huge. Any website addresses/advice would be greatly appreciated Thanks x
