I have a 1-yr old with Miraflex frames, which have been great. He's had glasses for about 5 months, and now wears them most of the time. He only takes them off about 20 times a day vs. 200+. With that challenge behind us, another one...
He recently started chewing hisglasses, destroying the lenses almost immediately. We just went through a replacement set of lenses in a few days. We take them away and redirect his attention when we catch him doing it, but it's impossible to catch him in time to avoid scratching.
We've been purchasing them from the shop at the pediatric opth office, and we get one free replacement with each paid-for set (scratch resistant guarantee), but this could still get extremely expensive.
Any ideas on preventing the chewing or where to get less expsneive replacements? I called around to the major eyeglass stores, and they don't make lenses for his frames.
THANK YOU!
