I am so excited to hear that my daughter Mari isn't the only baby out there who is extremely farsighted. Her eyes are +10 due to genetics I believe since both my husband and I are +4. I live in Hawaii and I'm searching for frames, but unfortunately, we don't have many options. Has anyone tried the Fisher Price baby glasses? Any other brands with cute styles? I want her to be able to try the glasses before purchasing them and we don't have the solobambini or miraflex lines here.

Also, when we tried some frames, my baby refused to put them on and screamed like crazy. Did you have similar experiences with getting your babies to wear their glasses?

sadie is nine months old and has been wearing the miraflex frames since she was 4 months old. if miraflex is what you want i think you can call the tollfree number and order them. i have called them forseveral things and you usually need to leave a message but they are very polite and will call you back. also, i like the solo bambini, you mentioned, and am considering ordering sadie a second pair (just because) i know you can order them online or by phone. i have found that if you buy the frames direct, its cheaper to take the frames to an optical center near you and have them put them in. sadie has had no problems with the miraflex and loves them!! they will not break!!! how old is your daughter?? sadie has the baby zero size, it says it is for infants and premies, but she is 9 months and it fits her perfect. she weighs 15 pds. hope this helps.

Sadiesmom, nope, no surgery yet. Her doctor is hoping that the crossed eyes will be resolved through glasses alone, but it is still definitely a possibility. She got her new lenses today, so we'll see, our next appointment will be in 2 weeks. Thank you so much for the reassurance. It's good to know that others have been through it, and that it's been a positive. I will absolutely take you up on your offer to talk more about it if we end up going that route!

Kailuamom, my daughter was 14 months when she got glasses, and she threw a huge fit in the glasses store as we were trying the glasses on. However, she was much better when she got her glasses with her lenses. She would sometimes take them off and not want to have them back on, but nothing like that first time. I think she was just a little freaked out about having things on her face in front of her eyes. It took about 2 weeks total before she was totally fine with the glasses, and it really wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected.

I think both the Fisher price and the Miraflexes are super cute. I don't even know what brand of frames Zoe has. There's pictures of my daughter and other small kids with glasses here (a couple are wearing Fisher Price, and I think a couple are wearing Disney frames): http://toddlerglasses.wordpress.com/photo-gallery/
