My 11 month old just got an rx for glasses, she has been wearing contacts since she was 4 months old but we are having major problems keeping them in! I am having a hard time finding anyplace that even carries frames this small. Any suggestions on where to look for them and what brand/type to get? Is it possible to buy them online and is that a good idea? This is much harder than I thought it would be, then I have to get her to wear them too!

I had a hard time finding infant glasses also. The one place that I did find that had a few pairs that I'm sure you have around you is Wal-Mart.

Finding glasses for young children is difficult, however, it shouldnt be full of stress.

I am currently employed at a pediatric ophthalmologist office in Richmond VA. and I work with young children everyday selecting new frames and having them adjusted appropriately the their little faces. And helping the parents make the right choice about what type of lenses are best.

I dont know where you currently live, however, I would love to help you with making the right choice...

ordering glasses online may seem like it saves time and money, and convenient because they ship them to your home, however, what if they break? Do you have to ship them back? or where do you go to have them repaired? and what is all that going to cost you?

I know of a few companies that offer great warranties for young children, such as A & A Optical, their Pez frames are adorable and have cable temples. These special temples help keep the glasses on the child's face better and are more comfortable behind their little ears.
Aspex is also a great company because they sell frames called Easy Twist that are made of a memory metal and have great durability. Also have few frames with cable temples.

I got my babies glasses at Iris and if you collect airmiles, you can use them for $200 off! I got him Flexible ones, with the frames that go around the ears, they have been great so far!

Thanks for the reply. I must have missed it because I just now saw your message. I live in Ithaca, NY. I ended up buying solo bambini online and going to the local eye place to get the lenses put in. I had the hardest time finding any place that had any glasses small enought for her face. Also, no one here really wanted to help me figure it out either. We should be getting them in tomorrow. I am very excited and nervous. Her rx in a +12 adn +13 so I know they will be think and heavy.
