My husband's grandma recently met someone on a plane whose daughter was born with cataracts, and has since developed glaucoma. The girl's mother said they tried putting contacts in her, and she fussed with them so much that she ended up devloping glaucoma. My thought was that contacts might cause glaucoma- has anyone heard that? My parents put contacts in my eyes as a baby, but then I got diagnosed with glaucoma and had to stop. I'm working on getting contacts for my daughter, but now I'm nervous that the contacts might make her develop glaucoma.
Does anyone have any insight about that? I'm very nervous, but I miss seeing my little girl without glasses!
