Breastfeeding a Baby with Glasses

Posted by AuthBot in help and advicebabies with glassesbabies

My 9 month old daughter just got her glasses today. They are soft Mira-flex glasses with a crochet strap holding them on. She is doing pretty well considering her age and desire to put everything in her mouth! My question is about nursing. Should I try to leave her glasses on her while nursing? It looks as if they get pushed to the side a bit and its probably uncomfortable. Any advice?

Help, My 16 month old won't keep his glasses on!

Posted by AuthBot in help and advicebabies with glassesbabies

My son received his glasses two days ago. For the first day he took them off a couple of times, but mainly they stayed on for a good six hours. Yesterday, he kept the glasses on all morning, but after his nap he kept taking off the glasses. I finally gave up putting them back on at 6 pm and let him go glasses-less until his bedtime at 8 pm. Today he won't keep the glasses on for more than 5 minutes. I don't know what to do to keep the glasses on him. Does anyone have any suggestions. His vision is pretty bad, he is a -8, so he should want to keep the glasses on.

Genuine Baby with Glasses T-shirts and more available

genuine-baby-with-glasses-small-logo.jpgAfter discovering Cafe Press and the 3 Little Monkeys shop, I wanted to create some custom T-Shirts with more designs and bolder statements for infants and children with glasses. Being none too shabby with Photoshop, I set to work and developed several designs and started uploading them to Cafe Press. You can now visit the Babies with Glasses store at Cafe Press and buy T-shirts for your own babies and kids with glasses! The "Shop" link on the tabbed menu will take you there as well.

Hi everyone, while doing my routine search of Babies with Glasses-related stuff, I came accross this cool T-Shirt at Café Press , that's also available as a bib or onesie.

The T-Shirt is available in white, pink, blue or tan. The onesie is available in white, pink or blue; and the bib is available in white only. There are a lot of other neat original T-shirts and such at the site as well

3 Little Monkeys , a shop at Cafe Press, has a whole line of T-shirts for infants and children that wear glasses or eye patches. You should give them a visit.

8 month old twins need glasses

Posted by tambean in babies with glasses

Hi! Just found this website!  Our 8 month old twin boys need glasses!  I thought we were just checking the optic nerve for damage.  The boys were born a little over 8 weeks early.  I had no idea their vision was being checked.  I mean, I'm glad they did and all, but we were completely blown away by the whole thing! Anyhow, now come the questions.  First of all, what type of frames does anyone reccomend - then, how do you keep them on?!  Even if they'll leave they're own glasses on, I'm not sure one brother is going to leave his other brother's on!  We'll be thankfull for any advice!

Add Another Baby With Glasses

It's official, our second son - Caleb - got his first pair of glasses last week. He was originally examined and the determination was made at three months that he would need glasses, however, they wanted to wait until he was 6 months old before writing his a prescription to ensure that the initial assessment wasn't too strong

Now JC and Caleb both have glasses. JC was very excited to see his little brother wearing glasses too. Here's one of the first pictures of them together sharing a cookie.

JC Update

Posted by jrfuda in my blogkidschildrenbabies with glassesbabies

JC recovered well from two surgeries he had last Thursday. JC had an adenoidectomy and ear tubes inserted in his eardrums. He was a little groggy the day of the survery, but the next day he was his happy little self again!

Over the weekend he even got to splash around in his pool (with his ears protected of course). It's hard to beleive he'll be 9-months old in a few days.
