About Me: Everyone calls me DJ and I just turned one on November 17. I was a preemie born 2 months early and was small due to IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction), weighing only 2lbs 14ozs and measuring 16 inches in length. Since then, I've come a long way. I had a brain bleed and ROP (retinopathy of prematurity), both of which resolved themselves before I left the hospital. I stayed in the NICU for a month and then went to a step down hospital closer to home for a week as a grower and a feeder, coming home on Christmas day. My mom and dad took me to a specialist because they noticed my left eye turned in at times. The specialist said I had a weak left eye so I have to be patched for 6-8 hours a day and wear glasses along with my patching all day to help correct my eye crossing. Everyone comments on how handsome I look and my momma and daddy say I am soo cute I remind them of chicken little. I may be small but I have big things in store for the future!

Wearing Glasses Since: 6 months
About Me: I'm just over 6 months old, and got my glasses YESTERDAY! Mom and Dad noticed my eyes were a problem at around 3 months, and I've since been diagnosed with having nystagmus. Thankfully, it’s not a serious case, but my eyesight has also been affected slightly by this. I was born in March, to a British mom and South African dad, in the Caribbean.

along with the baby's name, current age, age they started wearing
glasses and anything else you'd like to be posted (mini baby bio) when
they're selected as "Baby with Glasses of the Month" to webmaster@babieswithglasses.org
with the message title "Baby of the Month." All non-selected entries
from previous months will automatically be re-entered for following
months. Cut-off date for each succeeding month in the 21st of the
