 Congratulations to Emmanuella Barton, the January 2008 Baby with  glasses of the Month!
Name: Emmanuella Rose Gertrude Barton

Started wearing glasses: 13 months
About me: My name is Emmanuella, but everyone calls me Emma. Just as well, as my grandma Rose says, I will never be able to spell a name with that many letters. We live in Melbourne, Australia.
I am the second baby in our family. Hamish, my brother, is going to be 3 years old in April, but he was only 15 months old when I was born. I was born three weeks early, and it was just as well, as I was a big baby !! We are both babies born thanks to the miracle of IVF. Mama and Dada noticed that one of my eyes was turned, so took me to an Opthamologist (another very long word). She said that I needed glasses. At first I was very cheeky, and kept pulling them off, but I am good with them now ! The doctor said that I am long sighted, and have (strangely) the same prescription as my Dada. She hopes that as Mama and Dada took me to see her early enough, that I may not need glasses forever, but I think they are very cute on me, and Mama and Dada see the glasses as being part of my face now - without them, I don't look like me! The photograph is of me at my cousin Lily's second birthday party. It was a fairy party, and I wore beautiful pink wings!
